Ingredients

  • 45 g magnolia petals120ml
  • 120 mL rice vinegar (1/2 cup)
  • 120 mL 120ml water (1/2 cup)
  • 1 tbsp sugar (12g)
  • 1 tsp salt (5 g)

Instructions

  • Wash the magnolia petals thoroughly to remove any dirt or debris.
  • Slice magnolia petals. Place the magnolia petals in a glass jar.
  • Combine the rice vinegar, water, sugar, and salt. Stir until the sugar and salt dissolve completely.
  • Pour the vinegar mixture over the top of magnolias and seal glass jar. Refrigerate for at least 24 hours.
  • Serve the pickled magnolias as a unique appetizer or snack. They also make a great addition to salads or sandwiches.
